Accompanied by the Principal Secretary of the State Department of Wildlife, Silvia Museiya, CS Mutua visited Kajiado County as part of his ongoing Utalii Fresh Tours. They ย held talks with the county leadership, led by H.E Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.

The issue of transferring the management of Amboseli National Park to the people of Kajiado is one that is very close to their hearts. The CS assured the leadership and the people of Kajiado community that the process is on course. โAs we await the handover date, my ministry will continue investing in projects to ensure Amboseli retains its world-class statusโ Mutua said.

The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlifr will construct ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ rest areas in Kajiado county, while the county government will build ๐ญ๐๐ง to ensure visitors experience a sense of comfort, convenience and security while touring. โFurthermore, my ministry will collaborate closely with the county to map out all existing tourist attractions and products, identify gaps, and address them accordinglyโ he committed
Dr Mutua said the ย Ministry will immediately commence maintenance works on all roads within Amboseli National Park, which were significantly impacted by the El Niรฑo rains.

Additionally, the Ministry will partner with the County Government to upgrade the Noongotiak Cultural Centre to provide tourists with an opportunity to experience the Maasai culture firsthand. โMoreover, we will actively seek investors to build modern lodges, hotels, and conservancies within Amboseli to further enhance the tourism experience in the regionโ CS assured
