KENYA AND SOUTH AFRICA ENHANCE PARTNERSHIP IN TOURISM
Today in Pretoria, South Africa, a major milestone was reached for regional tourism with the official launch of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) between Kenya and South Africa. Following the signing of the JTC report and implementation plan by country representatives, this committee is now set to operationalize the 2021 Memorandum of Understanding between our two nations.
The JTC is designed to create powerful synergies by facilitating the exchange of scholarships and information, promoting tourism investments and cultural exhibitions, and strengthening cooperation across education, training, and the private sector.
The event was officiated by Tourism Secretary David Gitonga (representing Principal Secretary for Tourism, John Ololtuaa) and Mr. Nkhumeleni Victor Vele, Director General of the South African Department of Tourism. #CreatingPartnershipsIn Tourism
